Motive Equipment, Inc. was founded in 1985 as a manufacturing and engineering company. The products produced had to be technically superior to anything else in the marketplace. Satisfied customers and timely, responsible service are still of the utmost importance. Engineering expertise coupled with many years of railroad experience are combined to form a highly responsive, market sensitive, rail oriented company.

Some of the products we manufacture for use on the locomotive are: cab heaters, fans, visors, and refrigerators; toilets and drain valves; tool boxes and numerous custom made specialty items. We also produce locomotive cab air conditioners. These units can be mounted in the roof, on the side, or under the floor, and were designed specifically for locomotive use. They are ruggedly built to provide long-lasting, reliable cab comfort for crew members.
